Class 2+ with flood and windscreen cover, Super Special, from THB 7,300

Premium data as of 15 October 2026 · compiled by Prakanthai.com

Underwritten by Bangkok Insurance Public Company Limited
Premiums from THB 7,300–13,500 per year, depending on the sum insured. Tax and stamp duty included; compulsory motor insurance (CMI) not included.
Highlights: Class 2+ that adds natural disaster cover for four perils (THB 100,000), windscreen cover (THB 10,000) and total loss from overturning (THB 100,000)

You often drive upcountry, and a stone thrown up by a lorry has already cracked your windscreen twice. Your current Class 2+ policy didn't pay because it wasn't a collision with another vehicle. In the rainy season you also worry about floods.

How does Class 2+ with added windscreen, flood and overturning cover differ from a standard Class 2+, and how much more do you pay?

Class 2+ Super Special: who is it for and how much is the premium?

In short: Bangkok Insurance's Class 2+ Super Special suits owners of private saloons or pickups aged 2–20 years who want more than a standard Class 2+. It covers the car in a collision with a vehicle where the other party is identified, theft and fire, up to a sum insured of THB 100,000–700,000, and adds natural disaster cover for four perils of THB 100,000 per accident, windscreen cover of THB 10,000 per accident, and total loss from overturning or leaving the road of THB 100,000. Premiums start at THB 7,300 per year for a sum insured of THB 100,000 (data as at 15 October 2026, CMI not included). The actual premium depends on the sum insured.

How much is the premium for Class 2+ Super Special?

Annual premiums, including tax and stamp duty, excluding CMI. The CCTV camera discount is already included. Data as at 15 October 2026. Every sum insured has the same natural disaster limit of THB 100,000.

Sum insured (THB)Starting premium (THB per year)
100,0007,300
200,0008,300
300,0009,300
400,00010,500
500,00011,500
600,00012,500
700,00013,500

Every figure is a starting premium. The sum insured must not exceed 80% of the car's value on the date the policy is taken out. The actual premium depends on the sum insured and the insurer's underwriting decision. The quote is what counts.

Worked example: for a car worth THB 500,000, what sum insured can you get?

  • Maximum sum insured of 80% of the car's value: 500,000 × 80% = THB 400,000. Premium THB 10,500 per year
  • Average per month: 10,500 ÷ 12 = about THB 875
  • If your car is flooded and the repair costs THB 150,000, the payout is capped at the natural disaster limit of THB 100,000, and you pay the remaining THB 50,000 yourself
  • If a stone hits the windscreen and replacing it costs THB 8,000, that falls within the THB 10,000 limit

This example is for illustration only. The amount actually paid depends on the insurer's claim assessment. A simple rule: the natural disaster limit and the glass limit are separate limits and do not use up the main sum insured.

Who is Class 2+ Super Special for?

  • Owners of saloons of up to 7 seats or pickups of up to 3 tonnes and 3 seats, with a car aged 2–20 years
  • People who often drive long distances and risk flying stones hitting the glass
  • People who park in flood-prone areas and want a natural disaster limit within a Class 2+ policy
  • People who want to renew their insurance without a vehicle inspection

Who should not buy this plan yet?

  • People who want the car repaired after hitting something with no other party involved, such as a post or a wall. Cover for damage to the car from a collision applies only to a collision with a land vehicle where the other party is identified. See Class 1 insurance Khum Khrong Khum Kha
  • Cars used for hire or rental: this plan accepts privately used cars only
  • Cars of a make or model the insurer does not accept: send the car's details to our team to check first
  • People who want a flood limit close to the value of the car: natural disaster cover is THB 100,000 per accident
  • People who have added expensive accessories to the car: this plan covers only equipment fitted at the factory

Limits to check before you decide

  1. Overturning or leaving the road is paid as total loss only, meaning the car cannot be repaired to its original condition or the damage is at least 70% of the car's value. The THB 100,000 limit applies throughout the period of insurance
  2. Windscreen cover is THB 10,000 per accident and THB 10,000 over the year. It does not include the glass in folding side mirrors, sunroofs or window film
  3. The sum insured is capped at 80% of the car's price, so an expensive car may get a sum insured below its market value
  4. Covers only equipment fitted at the factory, not additional accessories
  5. The premium excludes compulsory motor insurance (CMI)

Want to know the actual premium for your car? What do you need to send?

Send just 2 things

  1. A photo of the registration book's front page
  2. The front page of your current policy

Our team will check whether the car falls in a group the insurer accepts, and send you a written quote within a business day, showing the sum insured you can have, up to 80% of the car's value, and CMI if you want it. If a plan is good value, we will tell you straight. If the conditions differ, we will explain the differences before you pay.
