Men's cancer plus accident insurance: who is it for, and how much is the premium?
In short: Bangkok Insurance's men's cancer plus accident insurance suits men and boys aged 0–60 who have never had cancer. Premiums start at THB 1,400 per year for Plan 1, ages 0–24 (data as at 12 October 2026). Your actual premium depends on your age band and the plan you choose.

Every figure is a starting premium. The premium is based on your age when cover starts and stays the same, unless there is an accident claim during the policy year. The actual premium depends on your age band, the plan and the insurer's underwriting decision; the quote is what counts.
Worked example: how much would you receive in total for lung cancer?
Say you start at age 30 on Plan 3, with a premium of THB 2,400 per year (about THB 200 a month on average = 2,400 ÷ 12). The following year you are diagnosed with lung cancer and treated with chemotherapy.
- First cancer diagnosis: THB 500,000
- Extra benefit for lung cancer: THB 150,000
- Chemotherapy: THB 25,000
- Total: 500,000 + 150,000 + 25,000 = THB 675,000
This is an illustration that assumes every condition is met. The actual payout depends on the insurer's claim assessment. The simple rule: the extra THB 150,000 is the same on every plan, so it makes up a larger share of the payout on the smaller plans.
Who is men's cancer plus accident insurance for?
- Men and boys aged 0–60 who have never had cancer; renewable up to age 65
- People whose lifestyle or family history makes them worried about lung, liver, colon or prostate cancer
- People who want cancer insurance and THB 200,000 of accident insurance in one policy
- Parents who want to insure their sons, since cover is available from age 0 and the premium is locked at the entry age
Who should not buy this plan yet?
- People who have had cancer before: cancer that existed before cover started is excluded
- Over 60: this plan accepts applicants aged 0–60
- People who ride a motorcycle, or ride pillion, every day and are relying on the accident cover: a motorcycle accident pays THB 20,000, not THB 200,000
- People who want more than THB 1,000,000 of cancer cover in total: the combined sum insured across all policies is capped at THB 1,000,000 per person
- People who want a separate payment for cancer surgery: this plan has no surgery benefit. See Superior Care cancer insurance, which covers surgery
Limits to check before you decide
- 90-day waiting period: cancer must be first diagnosed at least 90 days after the start of cover
- Key exclusions: cancer that existed before cover started; tumours related to or resulting from immune deficiency, including HIV; and all types of skin cancer except melanoma
- The extra THB 150,000 applies to 4 types of cancer only: colon, lung, liver and prostate
- A motorcycle accident pays THB 20,000, less than the THB 200,000 paid in other cases
- The premium may change if you make an accident claim: it stays fixed unless an accident claim is made while you are insured
- The combined sum insured across all policies is capped at THB 1,000,000 per person: any cancer insurance you already have counts towards it

Frequently asked questions
How is the men's plan different from the women's plan?
The men's plan pays an extra THB 150,000 if any of 4 types of cancer is found and includes THB 200,000 of accident cover, while the women's plan pays an extra THB 125,000 per breast for a full mastectomy and includes THB 100,000 of accident cover. The men's plan has a lower premium in every age band.
If I have already received the cancer lump sum, do I also get the extra THB 150,000?
According to the coverage table, the extra benefit is separate from the sum insured for a first cancer diagnosis. If you have 1 of the 4 specified types of cancer, you receive both.
Will the premium go up as I get older?
It doesn't rise with age. The premium is based on your age when the policy starts and stays the same, unless there is an accident claim while you are insured.
Do I need a medical check-up before applying?
Your health declaration is one of the factors in the underwriting decision and in payment, so answer every health question truthfully.
I already have health insurance. Should I add this plan?
This plan pays the fixed amounts stated when you meet the conditions, so it can sit alongside health insurance that pays for treatment. Check first whether your existing insurance pays for chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
