In short: Chubb Samaggi Insurance's Class 1 insurance for SUV and MPV cars suits owners of a Fortuner, Pajero Sport, Everest, MU-X, MU-7, CR-V, HR-V, Freed, Corolla Cross or MG GS that is 2–10 years old and used privately. It covers damage to the car, theft and fire up to a sum insured of THB 300,000–1,000,000, with third-party property cover of THB 5,000,000. Premiums start from THB 13,800 per year for cars registered in other provinces (as of 15 October 2026, excluding CMI). The actual premium depends on the province of registration and the insurer's assessment.

What does Chubb Class 1 insurance for SUV and MPV cars cover?

Standard accessories fitted by the factory or the dealer are covered. Other additional accessories are covered up to THB 20,000 per accident, only for items declared to the insurer

How much is Chubb Class 1 insurance for SUV and MPV cars?

Premiums include stamp duty and exclude CMI. They are rates with all discounts already deducted, and no further discounts apply. Information as of 15 October 2026. The actual premium depends on the province of registration, the car model and the insurer's underwriting decision.

Worked example: a Fortuner with a market value of THB 900,000, registered in Nonthaburi

• The sum insured is set at 80% of the market value: 900,000 × 80% = THB 720,000, within the sum insured range of THB 300,000–1,000,000
• Nonthaburi is in the Bangkok-vicinity group, so the premium is THB 16,500 per year, about THB 1,375 a month on average (16,500 ÷ 12)
• If the same car were registered in another province, the premium would be THB 13,800, a difference of 16,500 − 13,800 = THB 2,700 per year
• If the car is stolen, the sum insured used is THB 720,000, not the market value of THB 900,000

• Customised, lowered, raised or modified cars, or cars fitted with sirens, as well as cars whose registration number is all digits
• People who want a sum insured equal to the full market value: this plan sets the sum insured at 80% of the market value

Limits to check before you decide

1. The sum insured is 80% of the market value, including accessories. If the car is stolen or written off, the payment is based on this sum insured
2. Additional accessories are covered up to THB 20,000 per accident, and the items must be declared
3. Special materials are not covered, such as refrigeration units, special paint, glass coating, Kevlar, stickers and custom paintwork
4. Premiums for Bangkok and vicinity are higher than for other provinces, based on the province of registration
5. These are net rates with no further discounts, such as a camera discount or a good-history discount
