Information as of 15 October 2026. The actual premium depends on engine size, the model and the insurer's underwriting decision. The insurer reserves the right to change premiums without prior notice. The total including tax, stamp duty and CMI is as stated on the quote.
Worked example: a 125 cc bike, 4 years old, stolen
- For a bike up to 250 cc, the 2+ premium is THB 2,600 per year, about THB 217 a month on average (2,600 ÷ 12)
- A 4-year-old bike falls in the 4–5 year band, so the theft limit is THB 5,000
- If the same bike were 2 years old, the theft limit would be THB 10,000
- Compared with ERGO's 3+ at the same engine size, which is THB 2,300, the difference is 2,600 − 2,300 = THB 300 per year for the added theft and fire cover
This is an illustration only. The theft limit is the amount shown in the table, not the bike's actual value. What is actually paid depends on the policy conditions.
Is a theft limit of THB 5,000–10,000 enough?
This limit is a fixed amount set by the bike's age, not based on the bike's value. If the motorcycle is worth several tens of thousands of baht, the payment will cover only part of it. Treat this plan as initial assistance rather than reimbursement for the whole bike, and compare it with the extra premium over 3+ before deciding.
Who is ERGO Class 2+ motorcycle insurance for?
- People who regularly park their motorcycle in public places and want theft cover
- Owners of bikes aged 1–3 years, who get the full theft limit of THB 10,000
- People who ride to work every day and want their own bike's repairs covered after a collision with another party
- People who don't want an excess when they claim
Who should not buy this plan yet?
- Food-delivery riders, couriers, or anyone using the bike commercially. This plan accepts private use only
- People who want a theft payment equal to the bike's value. The theft limit is at most THB 10,000
- People who park in a safe place and only worry about collisions. See ERGO Class 3+ motorcycle insurance, which has a lower premium
- Bikes over 5 years old, bikes registered as assembled from parts, or models with no dealer in Thailand
- Bikes registered to a juristic person
Limits to check before you decide
- The theft and fire limit falls with the bike's age. Bikes aged 4–5 years get THB 5,000
- Repairs to the bike up to THB 10,000, only in a collision with a land vehicle where the other party is identified. Falling over on your own doesn't meet this condition.
- There is no medical expenses cover for the rider. There is only personal accident cover of THB 50,000 for 1 seat
- Third-party property cover of THB 600,000. If you hit an expensive vehicle, you are responsible for any damage above the limit
- Private use only, and accessories are not covered
