Underwriting conditions

1. The insured must comply with the Ministry of Transport Notification on the Criteria for Permission and Conditions for Operating or Launching Unmanned Aircraft of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Type, 2015
2. This policy is governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand, and each party agrees to submit any dispute to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Kingdom of Thailand
3. The remotely piloted aircraft (drone) must meet the conditions for operating or releasing unmanned aircraft (under section 24 of the Air Navigation Act, 1954)
4. The remote pilot must be at least 18 years old where the insured is an individual
5. The remote pilot must be at least 20 years old where the insured is a juristic person
6. Remotely piloted aircraft (drones) up to 5 years old are accepted
7. Period of cover: 1 year from the date the insurance is agreed
8. Territorial limits: Thailand only
9. Excess (deductible)
9.1 Direct loss of or damage to the remotely piloted aircraft (Drone)
- New remotely piloted aircraft (Drone) up to 3 years old: THB 3,000 for each and every loss
- Remotely piloted aircraft (Drone) aged 3–6 years: 10% of the aircraft's sum insured or a minimum of THB 3,000 for each and every loss
9.2 Legal liability to third parties: none
10. Remotely piloted aircraft with any history of damage or claims before the insurance is taken out are not accepted in any case

Extensions of cover

1. Extended cover for war-risk liability arising from the use of unmanned aircraft (AVN52G)
2. Extension covering the unmanned aircraft's operator as one of the insured if a claim for damages is brought (AVN74)
3. Extended cover where someone uses the unmanned aircraft without the insured's permission, provided the insured takes precautions to stop any unauthorised person from using it (AVN77)
4. Extension covering damage to the unmanned aircraft itself caused by mechanical failure arising from date changes in computer systems (AVN2001 A)
5. Extended cover for cameras and equipment listed in the policy (Plan 3 and Plan 4 only)

Exclusions

1. Nuclear risks (AVN38B)
2. Noise and pollution (AVN46B)
3. War and allied perils (AVN48B)
4. Persons with no interest in the insurance have no right to change or amend the terms of the insurance or reinsurance contract (AVN72)
5. Losses that breach laws or regulations prohibiting transactions with sanctioned countries or their nationals (AVN11 1)
6. Losses caused by the failure or malfunction of computer equipment in recognising dates (AVN2000A)
7. Asbestos risks (2488AGM00003)
8. Chemicals or other substances released from the unmanned aircraft (SW1531)
9. Liability for damage to electronic data (LIBA AVIATION 12.09.2019)

Documents needed to apply

1. Application form for remotely piloted aircraft (Drone) insurance
2. Proof of identity of the insured
2.1 If the insured is an individual: a copy of the national ID card
2.2 Where the insured is a foreign national: a copy of the passport
2.3 If the insured is a juristic person: the juristic person's certificate of registration
3. Copies of the national ID cards of every remote pilot
4. Clear photographs of the remotely piloted aircraft (Drone)

5. A copy of the purchase receipt for the remotely piloted aircraft (drone)
