If your truck collides with a car or other land vehicle and the incident falls under the policy conditions, the insurer will assess the damage to the vehicle up to the sum insured you chose.
In a collision with another vehicle, notify the insurer at the scene straight away, and take photos of the vehicles' positions, the damage, the number plates and the other party's details.
2. Covers truck theft and fire
Covers the vehicle if it is stolen or damaged by fire, up to the sum insured and on the conditions stated in the policy
3. Covers damage to the other party
If your truck causes injury, death or damage to the property of a third party, this plan covers it up to the limits in the policy: up to THB 20 million per accident for bodily injury or death, and up to THB 1 million per accident for property damage.
4. Covers the driver and passengers in the vehicle
Personal accident and medical expenses cover for 1 driver and 2 passengers, up to the stated limits of liability
5. Includes driver bail bond cover
If the driver faces criminal charges after a road accident, the policy covers driver bail of up to THB 300,000 per accident, subject to the policy conditions

Which vehicles suit this Class 2+ truck insurance plan?
This plan suits trucks and tractor units used as follows:
Used for commercial purposes, as declared to the insurer
Not used for hire or rental
You want theft and fire cover
You want cover for the vehicle in a collision with a land vehicle
You want cover for the other party, the driver and passengers
You want to keep the premium down without choosing Class 1 insurance
Vehicles or uses that need extra checks
The insurer states that it does not cover trucks used to carry or transport high-risk goods such as fuel, acids and gas. Acceptance also depends on the vehicle type, weight, body type, installed equipment and actual use.
For a tractor unit, give full details of both the tractor and the trailer, as cover for each part may be considered separately under the underwriting conditions.
What does Class 2+ truck insurance not cover?
2+ insurance is not Class 1, so don't assume it covers every kind of accident, in particular:
Collisions or damage where the other party is not a land vehicle
Hitting a post, wall, tree or obstacle, or overturning with no other party involved, under the policy conditions
Flood or other perils not listed in the plan's cover
Damage to accessories or special extra equipment that was not declared and is not covered
Use other than as declared, such as for hire, rental or carrying high-risk materials
Claims are assessed on the cause of the incident, the documents, the evidence and the terms of the actual policy
What information do you need before asking for a truck insurance premium?
For an accurate premium check, we suggest you prepare the following:
A copy of the vehicle registration book or a photo of the registration details page
Make, model, registration year and vehicle weight
Vehicle type code, such as 320 or 420, if you already know it
The sum insured you want, such as THB 100,000, THB 200,000 or THB 300,000
Details of the body, cargo box or any extra equipment fitted
How the vehicle is used and the type of goods carried
Photos of the vehicle from all sides and of the number plate, if the insurer asks for them
The Prakanthai.com team will check whether your vehicle meets the plan's criteria and recommend a sum insured and type of cover that fit how you actually use it.
Quick summary before you decide
Viriyah Truck Super Save Class 2+ truck insurance suits trucks and tractor units used for commercial purposes that need 3 main types of cover: collisions with other vehicles under the conditions, theft or fire, and liability to the other party, with premiums from THB 17,900 per year for vehicles that meet the code 320 conditions.
The key point is that this plan is not Class 1, and claims for collision damage to the vehicle must meet the conditions on land vehicles and an identified other party, so send your vehicle details for a check before you decide.
