Highlight: Class 2+ insurance with a high limit of THB 2,500,000 for the other party's property, accepting cars 1–15 years old, with MSIG Roadside Assistance for emergencies
A ten-year-old pickup driven in a city full of expensive new cars. If you rear-end a luxury car by mistake, the other party's repair bill could be higher than the third-party property limit you have.
MSIG's Class 2+ ULTRA SAVE gives a THB 2.5 million limit for the other party's property. What is the premium at each sum insured, and in which cases does the excess apply?
Class 2+ MSIG ULTRA SAVE: who is it for and how much is the premium?
In short: Class 2+ MSIG ULTRA SAVE suits saloon cars in groups 3–5 and privately used pickups aged 1–15 years whose owners want a third-party property limit as high as THB 2,500,000. It covers the car in a collision with a land vehicle where the other party can be identified, plus theft and fire, up to a sum insured of THB 100,000–500,000. Repairs are at the insurer's network garages, and the car must be inspected before cover is accepted. Premiums start at THB 7,500 per year at a sum insured of THB 100,000 (data as at 15 Oct 2026, excluding CMI). The actual premium depends on the sum insured and the inspection result.
What does Class 2+ MSIG ULTRA SAVE cover?
| Coverage | Limit (THB) | Conditions |

| Theft / fire | Up to the sum insured | – |
| Third-party bodily injury or death | THB 500,000 per person | Up to THB 20,000,000 per accident in total |
| Third-party property | 2,500,000 | – |
| Personal accident | 100,000 | 1 driver + 4 passengers |
| Medical expenses | 100,000 | 1 driver + 4 passengers |
| Driver bail bond (criminal cases) | 300,000 | – |
| Excess (deductible) | 5,000 | Every case, except a collision with a land vehicle where the other party is identified |
Garage repair at the insurer's network garages. MSIG Roadside Assistance for emergencies, under the insurer's conditions. In a collision with a land vehicle, no depreciation is deducted for tyres, batteries and fluids such as engine oil and air-conditioning coolant, under the insurer's 100% sure conditions.
Class 2+ MSIG ULTRA SAVE: how much is the premium?
Annual premiums, including the CCTV camera discount, excluding CMI and excluding the terrorism cover extension. Data as at 15 October 2026
| Sum insured (THB) | Starting premium (THB per year) | Sum insured / starting premium |
|---|---|---|
| 100,000 | 7,500 | 350,000 / 10,500 |
| 150,000 | 8,000 | 400,000 / 11,500 |
| 200,000 | 8,500 | 450,000 / 12,500 |
| 250,000 | 9,000 | 500,000 / 13,000 |
| 300,000 | 9,500 | – |
Every figure is a starting premium. The car must be worth no less than the sum insured you choose. The actual premium depends on the sum insured, the vehicle type, the inspection result and the insurer's underwriting decision. The quote is what counts.
Worked example: a pickup with a market value of THB 320,000. Which sum insured should you choose?
- The sum insured cannot be higher than the car's value, so the most you can choose is THB 300,000: premium THB 9,500 per year
- Average per month: 9,500 ÷ 12 = about THB 792
- If you lower the sum insured to THB 250,000, the premium is THB 9,000, a saving of THB 500, but the limit for the car and for theft is THB 50,000 lower
- If you rear-end an expensive car and the other party's repairs cost THB 1,800,000, that is still within the THB 2,500,000 third-party property limit
This example is for illustration only. The car value and sum insured actually available follow the insurer's decision.
