Every figure is a starting premium. The actual premium depends on the sum insured, the vehicle type, the vehicle group and the insurer's underwriting decision. The insurer reserves the right to adjust premiums and to set how long these rates apply. The quote is what counts.
Worked example: how much difference is there between a pickup with a sum insured of THB 300,000 and one with THB 400,000?
- Sum insured THB 300,000: premium THB 8,900 per year, about THB 742 a month on average (8,900 ÷ 12)
- Sum insured THB 400,000: premium THB 9,700 per year
- Pay an extra 9,700 − 8,900 = THB 800 per year for THB 100,000 more cover for the car, theft and fire
- If the whole car is stolen, the payout is worked out from the sum insured you chose, so choose a sum insured close to the car's actual value.
This example is for illustration only. The sum insured actually available depends on the car's value and the insurer's assessment.
Who is Deves Save 2+ insurance for?
- Owners of privately used pickups who want the same premium rate as a group 3–5 saloon
- Owners of fairly old cars who are looking for theft and fire cover as an alternative to Class 1
- People who want a driver bail bond of THB 300,000
- Owners of group 2 saloons who need a sum insured of no more than THB 200,000
Who should not buy this plan yet?
- People who want cover when they crash on their own or cannot identify the other party: 2+ pays for the car only in a collision with a land vehicle where the other party is identified
- Vehicles used for hire or rental: the insurer reserves the right not to accept them
- Customised or modified cars
- Vehicles that transport or carry high-risk goods, such as fuel, acids and gas
- Group 2 saloons that need a sum insured above THB 200,000: the table has rates only for sums insured of THB 100,000 and 200,000
Limits to check before you decide
- The car itself is covered only in a collision with a land vehicle where the other party is identified. Hitting a tree, going off the road or the other party driving off doesn't qualify
- Personal accident and medical expenses cover 5 seats, including the driver. If you usually fill the car, check the number of seats on the policy schedule
- Accepts privately used cars only: no cars used for hire or rental, and no customised or modified cars
- These are campaign rates: the insurer reserves the right to change premiums and how long the rates apply
