How much is the premium for PA Happy 45 Plus accident insurance?
Annual premiums, including stamp duty. Data as at 15 October 2026
| Plan | Starting premium, ages 45–70 | Starting premium, ages 71–75 |
|---|---|---|
| Plan 1 | 4,400 | 5,600 |
| Plan 2 | 5,200 | 6,500 |
| Plan 3 | 7,500 | 9,300 |
| Plan 4 | 8,300 | 10,200 |
| Plan 5 | 11,000 | 13,400 |
From age 76 upwards the premiums are for renewals only, with no new applications. Premiums step up with the age band; the examples shown are Plan 1 and Plan 5.
| Age band (renewals only) | Plan 1 | Plan 5 |
|---|---|---|
| 76–80 years | 6,000 | 14,300 |
| 81–85 years | 7,100 | 16,100 |
| 86–90 years | 7,900 | 17,600 |
| 91–95 years | 8,700 | 19,000 |
| 96–100 years | 9,600 | 20,500 |
The actual premium depends on the plan you choose, your age at the start of cover, your occupation, your health declaration and the insurer's underwriting decision. The quote is what counts.
Worked example: age 62, Plan 3, and 5 days in hospital
- Plan 3 premium for ages 45–70 = THB 7,500 per year, on average 7,500 ÷ 12 = about THB 625 a month
- A slip and fall means 5 days in hospital. The room costs THB 5,000 a day, and Plan 3 pays room charges of up to THB 4,000 a day
- Room charge difference you pay yourself: (5,000 − 4,000) × 5 days = THB 5,000
- The room charges the insurer pays are 4,000 × 5 = THB 20,000, which count towards the inpatient limit of up to THB 100,000 for this admission
This is an illustration only. The amount actually paid depends on the receipts and the policy conditions. If the hospital you normally use charges high room rates, check the room charge limit before you choose a plan.
Who is PA Happy 45 Plus accident insurance for?
- People aged 45–75 who are looking for an accident plan that still accepts applications
- Children who want to buy accident insurance for their parents, and want it to be renewable until age 100
- People who also want outpatient treatment for accidents, not just hospital stays
- People who want a wheelchair cost limit to use after an accident
Who should not buy this plan yet?
- People under 45: this plan does not accept them. See Happy PA accident insurance, sum insured THB 500,000 to 3 million instead
- People over 75 who have never held this policy: ages 76 and over are renewal premiums only
- People who want treatment for illness: this plan is accident insurance, not health insurance
- Document couriers, motorcycle taxi riders, serving military and police officers, as well as other work with a high accident risk: this plan does not accept them
- People who mainly ride motorcycles: the death and disability benefits for motorcycle cases pay half of the sum insured. Take a look at Accident insurance 159 to compare
Limits to check before you decide
- Motorcycle, murder and assault cases pay half: for example, Plan 3 pays THB 700,000 for death from an ordinary accident, but THB 350,000 in a motorcycle case
- Room charges have a daily limit, and a total of no more than 30 days per accident. Plans 1–2 pay an ordinary room charge of only THB 2,000 a day
- Inpatient treatment has two tiers of limit, per accident and per year. For example, Plan 1 pays no more than THB 50,000 per accident and THB 100,000 per year
- Outpatient treatment is limited to 1 visit per day and 30 visits per year
- Premiums rise by age band when you renew, and renewal is on the terms the insurer sets
- A health declaration is required: what you declare affects underwriting and claim payment. Foreign nationals must have a Work Permit or Retirement Certificate
